The Promptings of the Spirit

In the Garden with Mary Magdalene: A Gentle Invitation to Sacred Stillness

I pray your Easter Sunday was joyful, prayerful, and fruitful. It is the Easter season! There are moments in the Gospels that seem to breathe quiet, tender spaces where something deep and holy unfolds, drawing us closer, opening our awareness, and gently transforming the heart.

One of those moments is Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the risen Christ in the garden, a scene full of longing, sudden recognition, and the soft unveiling of hope that reshapes grief into new life. Want to experience a contemplative walk into the garden with Mary Magdalene, lingering a little longer in the sacred quiet and allowing the presence there to sink into your heart?

Inspired by this sacred encounter, I’ve created a contemplative guided meditation called “In the Garden with Mary Magdalene.” This gentle practice warmly invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and sink into the hush of the garden, allowing yourself to enter the stillness and become open to whatever may be waiting for you in the silence.

Within this prayerful experience, you’ll walk the quiet path of early morning, sit with Mary in the hush of blooming flowers, notice the small movements of creation, and listen for the gentle, intimate way Christ calls each of us by name. Take a moment. Step into the garden. Allow yourself to be seen, truly known, and deeply loved.
