The Promptings of the Spirit

Guided Meditation:

The Road to Emmaus

(Luke 24:13–35)

You may recall this Gospel reading from the third Sunday of Easter. Although it may seem late to meditate on this passage, I believe anything written in the Gospel is timeless and always speaks to us anew. In my last post I talked about Iconography… I invite you to step into the Gospel story of the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13–35) through a 20-minute, guided meditation crafted for quiet reflection and gentle conversation with God. Bring your weariness, your questions, and your hopes as you walk with Jesus, listen honestly, and allow Scripture to shed its gentle light on your life; then, invite him to “stay with us.” This prayerful experience concludes at the table where recognition deepens into trust and includes one concrete next step to carry meaningfully into your daily life.
