Our Lady of Sorrows

Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Sorrows,
You cried.

You cried with profound joy at the miraculous birth of your son, embracing with deep faith the divine plan.

For your “Yes” was a total surrender to God’s will, the only will that truly matters. With your boundless love, you shared intimately in His Passion and suffering.

You cried at the foot of the cross, practicing unwavering and heartfelt compassion. But, dear Mother Mary, your tears were not only for your beloved son; they were also for all of us—the broken, the lowly, the poor, both then and now—for the entire world that remains wounded and in pain.

Consider what we have done and continue to do with each sin that separates us from grace. You continually join in our suffering with a heart full of mercy.

May we, sweet Mother, inspired by your example, meditate deeply on our own trials and, with compassion, unite our suffering to the pain experienced by our world, our families, and our neighbors. That, one day, our tears will be transformed from sorrow into joy when we are reunited with you at the heavenly banquet.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us all!

Keep at it!

Keep praying.

Love the Lord.

Peace and Grace.
